“KON-NI-CHI-WA!!”
First of all, please let me introduce myself.
My name is Cherry (this is not my real name, though) and I am a Japanese woman in my fifties, with a husband and a teenage boy, living near Tokyo.
I spent about 6 years of my twenties in Pennsylvania and Georgia, U.S.A. After graduating from a university in Pennsylvania and working in Georgia, I returned to Japan. Since then, I have built a career as an in-house translator for several U.S.-based companies and I am now working from home as a freelance while raising my son.
I have always wanted to create my own blog site and finally, I made it! Also, I decided to write articles in English so that more people could read them.
From now on, I plan to share various information about Japan with you, from writing about my daily life here like a diary, to insights into Japanese food culture, tourism, pop culture among the youth (with info from my son), local information about the area I live in (including Tokyo area and Yokohama area), etc. I do hope those who are interested in Japan can enjoy reading them.
I wish that someday, somewhere in the world, people who are interested in Japan and the daily life of a Japanese woman like me will visit this blog site.
